This man-made lake resembles the logo of Expo 2020, created with a lake, trees, and sand, and celebrates the fact that Dubai is hosting the first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asian region, the first such exhibition hosted by an Arab country welcoming 192 countries to showcase their culture, development, future projects and more. As per Gulf News, this was not a project built by Expo 2020 Dubai but Dubai Municipality is behind the special project and has designed it for the mega event Expo 2020 in October.

A man-made marvel, the site includes walkways to get to the ‘island’ surrounded by water. A bird’s-eye view from the top showcases the logo, so if you’re flying in or out from Al Maktoum, look out for this extraordinary spot.

Expo 2020 lake Entry Fee
There is no entry fee to visit expo 2020 lakes. You can freely go and explore the beautiful lake. A beautiful, large, and well-organized lake with plenty of car parking, a park with good walkways and toilets. The place is suitable for a picnic and family time with kids. The atmosphere is amazing, particularly from Nov to Mar every year. But must take enough lighting that suffices for the hours as the place does not have lighting where BBQs are allowed. You can even spot some oryx and gazelles while walking around.

How to reach expo 2020 lake?
It’s near Babs Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa and the Last Exit Al Qudra by Meraas. The best way of getting there is heading along the D63 route, past Last Exit, and by turning right on the road that also leads to Al Qudra Lakes. You can check the expo 2020 lake entry point on the map and the parking location before entering there.
Several developments are underway near Al Qudra such as the Cherrywoods Townhouses in Dubai, Al Qudra road with its handover estimated to be in the second quarter of 2021.
Is it open to the Public?
This wonderful attraction is open to the public and is made to resemble the Expo 2020 logo on an island within a lake by utilizing trees and sand. It is a beautiful park that is Instagram-worthy so make sure to bring your camera along and take away snaps.
Other man-made lakes including the Al Qudra Lakes were created by the Dubai civic body, the office of the Engineers of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Al Qudra is also popular for its beautiful quaint lakes and a vast number of bird species roaming around the lakes. Those who fancy extreme bikes or cycling can take their bikes around Al Qudra Cycle Track spanning 86KM.
